Who we are

Jethro Nolen has been improvising for over 30 years. As a founding member of Texas A&M’s Freudian Slip he discovered a love for improv. He studied at ImprovOlympic (now IO) , the Annoyance Theatre and the Groundlings with improv luminaries like Del Close, Susan Messing, Mick Napier, Joe Bill and Gary Austin. He played with The Lindbergh Babies at ImprovOlympic under Del Close’s direction.

Kristy Nolen studied theater at Ohio University, the La Jolla Playhouse (San Diego) and Marymount College (London). She discovered improv in Chicago, training at Second City, ImprovOlympic and the Annoyance. She went on to join the Second City National Touring company and taught in the training center.

And then they met…..

Together, they have performed with numerous troupes & theaters including Preponderate & Noble Fool (Chicago), Boom Chicago (Amsterdam), Pretty Please & Furious Theatre (Los Angeles) as well as being co-founders of the Arcade Comedy Theater (Pittsburgh). Additionally, they have performed and taught at numerous improv festivals across the country.

They now live in Canton, Michigan and teach and perform regularly at Go Comedy, Planet Ant and HearSay Theater.
